A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER
Thank you for your interest in Lorien Arts! If you’ve made it this far, you likely share our belief in the value of art. The data confirms that you’re correct in that belief… even to the extent that a lack of access to art is one of the greatest disadvantages facing youth living in low-income households.
If you’re still not sure about why the arts are valuable, I encourage you to read our “Why We Do What We Do” page.
Inequitable access to art is too easily ignored. It’s ignored by most schools. It’s ignored by most of our society. Lorien Arts exists to address this inequity.
Access to art should be a basic human right. Our ability to provide this basic human right depends on the generosity of people, businesses, and churches who understand the life-changing positive impact that occurs when young minds and hearts have the opportunity to engage with the arts. If you believe this, we would love for you to join us in this mission to create access to art. Your generosity can truly change the course of a life!
